The 2nd TEDx Bermuda Event was held in October, 2011 at the Fairmont Southampton Resort on South Shore Road and, as with the 1st Event with specially invited guests from around the globe.

“In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.

Riveting talks by remarkable people, free to the world.

The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including Tedx bermuda, are self-organized.” – facebook.com/TEDxBermuda

“… each speaker only gets 18 minutes to get their ideas across. It doesn’t matter who you are or how important you are.”

“TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. Started as a four-day conference in California 25 years ago, TED has grown to support those world-changing ideas with multiple initiatives. The annual TED Conference invites the world’s leading thinkers and doers to speak for 18 minutes. Their talks are then made available, free, at TED.com. TED speakers have included Al Gore, Jane Goodall, Nandan Nilekani, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, and UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown.”
